Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that the uplift of the poor people in the state would be done by 2022 as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 'Shravani Mela' here, Das said that encouraging cottage industries, besides agriculture, would help in uplifting the poor.
"Our government is working in this regard. I believe that by 2022 the poor will become prosperous and the prime minister's dream will be fulfilled," Das said.
He said that Deoghar, the pilgrimage centre, would be developed to promote tourism, adding, state the government is also working towards developing medical and cultural tourism.
He also said that replicas of the 'Char Dhams' (revered centres of pilgrimage for Hindus) will be constructed in Deoghar and the place will be called 'Shiv Lok'.

Stating that the women of Jharkhand are enterprising, Das said that the state would impart training to them.
They would make incense sticks and the branding and marketing would be carried out by the state government.
