Jail guard shot dead in Muzaffarnagar

A guard with the district jail here was today shot dead by unidentified men while he was returning home after duty, police said.

Chunni Lal was shot dead near the jail in the Nayi Mandi police station area while on the way to home after completing his duty, they said.

Efforts are being made to trace the accused, they added.
