After an over three-month search, the mastermind in the August jailbreak at Alipore Central Correctional Home has been arrested.
South 24 Parganas police said Qutubuddin Laskar was arrested when he returned to his home at Basanti last night.
Three prisoners serving life term for killing and dacoity had fled the correctional home on August 8 by scaling the prison walls.
One of them Azim Mistry was caught the very next day from near his home at Baruipur in South 24 Parganas district.
The second jailbird Shamim Howladar was caught 10 days later from Bhangor also in the district, the police said.
