Jennifer Lawrence to be honoured at film fest

The award ceremony is expected to take place January 26, 2013 at Arlington Theatre in California, reported Daily Star online.

"Lawrence impressed us earlier this year in 'The Hunger Games', but has now left us moonstruck with her career-defining performance in 'Silver Linings Playbook'. Naming her our Outstanding Performer of the Year is an understatement," said Roger Durlin, executive director of SBIFF.

The award has been previously bestowed upon actors like Angelina Jolie, Penelope Cruz, Colin Firth, James Franco, Viola Davis, Kate Winslet and Charlize Theron.
