Actor Jim Carrey's on-again-off-again girlfriend, Cathriona White, was found dead in her home here from an apparent suicide.
The 53-year-old actor released a statement, saying he was "shocked and deeply saddened" by the news, reported E!Online.
"White was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled," he added.
The duo met in March 2012 and started dating soon after that. However, they split less than a year later. In May 2015, the couple rekindled their romance, and were spotted holding hands in NYC.
White, 28, worked on several high-profile shoots, including one with David Hasselhoff as well as "Divergent" star Lyndie Greenwood.
She styled Greenwood for an Elle feature shoot and for the "Divergent" film premiere.
