Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today asked members of the Legislative Assembly to send their requests for setting up new fire stations in their constituencies, in writing.
Intervening during Question Hour in the Assembly, the Chief Minister said, "I request the members to send their demands in writing for setting up of fire-fighting stations in their constituencies to the Home Department, so that these are considered for sanctioning on merits".
"In order to save time of the House, members are requested to send their demands in writing," he added when various members spoke about the need of fire stations in their constituencies.
