Kalyani bridge reopens again for light vehicles

After being closed since December 17 last for cracks in a pillar, the arterial Kalyani Iswar Gupta Setu, linking Nadia with Hooghly district was re-opened today for light vehicles only.

As the PWD formed a belly bridge to pass the light vehicles, the bridge over river Ganga was opened again, a PWD source said.

However, no ten wheeler will be allowed now, the source added.
