Kanpur's oldest Ramlila all set for Ramkatha from tomorrow

The city's 138-year-old Ramilila Committee is all set to kick off its Ramkatha programme tomorrow, which is the prelude to the 10-day Dussehra festivities.

"The Ramlila Committee is the oldest in the city and is venturing into its 138th year. Tomorrow, Dussehra festivities will start with the Ramkatha programme. This programme will go on till Sept. 19.

"Later, from Sept. 23 to Oct. 3, the main Ramlila programme will start at the Parade Ground," said Mahendra Mohan Gupta, Chief Editor of Dainik Jagran group and Vice Chairman of Press Trust of India.
