Kanwaria killed as his firearm goes off

A 23-year-old 'kanwaria' was today killed when a country-made firearm he was carrying went off accidentally in Junction area here, police said.

Avrendra Baghel sustained bullet injury when the firearm tucked in his waist went off while he was putting down the 'kanwar' in Sithrauli village this morning, they said.

He was rushed to hospital where he died, police said.

The body has been sent for postmortem, they added.
