Kataria urges PM to earmark sufficient funds for Puducherry

Puducherry Lt Governor Virendra Kataria has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to earmark sufficient funds for the Union Territory so that several developmental projects could be taken up for speedy implementation.
A release from the office of the Lt Governor said today that Kataria made the appeal during his meeting with the Prime Minister in Delhi on Friday.
This was his first meeting with Modi after the latter became Prime Minister.
Kataria also called on External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan.
