Kaushik Mukherjee takes over as Karnataka Chief Secretary

Karnataka Additional Chief Secretary Kaushik Mukherjee today took over as the Chief Secretary of the state.

Outgoing Chief Secretary S V Ranganath handed over the charge at the Chief Secretary's office in the Vidhana Soudha, the state secretariat.

Mukherjee, a 1978-batch IAS officer, later told reporters, "I will discharge my duties sincerely and honestly."

He said the Government will make sincere efforts to improve the city's roads to tackle traffic problems.
