Keerthi Priyadarshini appointed to assist Sagayam committee

Tirunelveli Land Acquisition Deputy Collector Keerthi Priyadarshini has been appointed to assist Senior IAS officer U Sagayam, appointed by Madras High Court to investigate the multi-crore illegal granite quarrying scam in the district, official sources said here today.

They said the Sagayam committee had already concluded 10-phase investigation into various aspects of the illegal granite mining including exports and was now involved in preparing preliminary report.

A retired police officer and a Deputy Collector had already been nominated to help the inquiry committee.
