Pop star Kelly Clarkson is expecting her first child with husband Brandon Blackstock, just a month after marrying the music manager.

The 31-year-old 'Stronger' hitmaker, who exchanged vows with Blackstock in a secret ceremony recently, announced the news on Twitter on November 19, reported E!Online.

"I am pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever," Clarkson tweeted.

Many fans congratulated the singer on Twitter.

"So happy for you two!! Congrats! It gets easier after the 1st trimester, I promise!," wrote one.

The singer recently gave a sneak peak to her fans into her intimate wedding day by posting a video of her nuptials online.
