Kerala girl student succumbs to injuries

A student from Kerala, who was injured in a road accident here couple of weeks ago, succumbed to her injures at a hospital in Bengaluru today, police said.
The girl was a student of a dental college here, and had sustained head injuries after she was knocked down by a two-wheeler on March 23.
One person, who was involved in the accident, has been arrested on April 4 in connection with the case, police said.

Nileena Chandran, a second year Master's degree student of SriSiddhartha dental college in Tumkur in Karnataka, was allegedly knocked down by atwo-wheeler inside the college campus during Holi festival celebrations, Sujith, a police Head constable attached to Balussery station and a relative of the girl, said.
The motorcycle-borne student, pursuing his MBBS course in the same college and a native ofHyderabad, was allegedly in an inebriated condition, he said.
The body has been handed over to her relatives after post-mortemand will be reaching here tomorrow, he added.
