Kerry calls Pakistan PM Sharif

US Secretary of State John Kerry today telephoned Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed key bilateral and regional issues, including tensions along the LoC.
Issues related to Line of Control (LoC), the regional situation and terrorism figured in the discussions, Geo News reported.
The top US diplomat assured Sharif of Washington's support in the war on terror.

Earlier in the day, US Ambassador Richard Olson met Sartaj Aziz, Advisor to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs.
Both leaders discussed bilateral relations during the meeting. They also discussed matters related to the war on terror and regional security.
The talks came days ahead of a visit to Pakistan by Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
