Khattar asks authorities to form scheme to clean Ghaggar river

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today asked authorities to formulate a scheme to keep Ghaggar river clean in consultation with Punjab, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh.

During a review meeting of various schemes, the chief minister was apprised that in order to keep the river clean, 46 sewage treatment plants and three common treatment plants were being established whereas eight such plants were under construction and 20 proposed.

Regarding the progress of Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, he was informed that 92 per cent of the projects were completed.

He said Haryana will soon implement a film policy to encourage films production- related activities in the state and promotion of its culture through the movies. The draft policy has already been prepared.

 

Actors of the state should also be encouraged to play important characters in films, he said.
