Kin of cops killed by Maoists get house, financial aid

Family members of the two police constables who lost their lives in an encounter with Maoists in Gadchiroli district on March 22 this year have been provided with a financial assistance worth Rs 47,50,000 each, it was officially announced here today.

Maharashtra government has given Rs 25 lakhs in cash as well as provided a house worth Rs 22.50 lakh to family members of constables Dogu Dolu Atram and Ashok Amrutkar, a release issued by Gadchiroli police said.

Similarly, policemen injured in encounters with Maoists on January 11 and March 15 this year were given Rs 21,20,000 each, the release said.
