The unique monikar of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's newborn North West has attracted some harsh reactions but child's grandmother Kris Jenner has come out to defend the name and explain its meaning.
Jenner said that there was a good explanation for why her daughter Kim named her newborn North West.
"I love the name North. I'm pro-North," Jenner told TV show 'The View'.
Co-host Barbara Walters asked, "I mean it's funny, but do you want your child named North West?"
Jenner then went on to reveal the reason behind the unusual moniker.
"The way she explained it to me was North means 'highest power' and she says that North is (Kim and Kanye's) highest point together," Jenner said.
