Kris Jenner says going through an ugly divorce from late husband Robert Kardashian helped her in the split from Bruce Jenner.
Kris, who is now dating Corey Gamble, feels her first divorce was a "good learning experience", reported Us magazine.
During an appearance on The Talk, Kris said she and Bruce are happier living apart than together.
"It's not an easy thing. I went through a divorce a long time ago with Robert Kardashian, and it was not fun," the Keeping Up With the Kardashians matriarch, 58, said.
"It was so scary, and I was so young, and I had four kids. And then we ended up being best friends. But there was a period of a couple years in there where it was really ugly and hard."
Going through that, she said, was "a really good learning experience" for her, because it taught her to do things in a real grown-up way.
"It's a decision. Love is a decision, divorce is a decision. It's not a good decision, but we're happier living apart than we were together. Everybody feels it.
