Labourer commits suicide in J-K

A labourer from Uttar Pradesh allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his rented room in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, police said today.

Deep Chand (24) hailed from Sant Kabir Nagar of Uttar Pradesh.

His body was found hanging in his rented room in Matyal belt of Katra tehsil last evening, a police officer said.

The post mortem was conducted, he said, adding that a case was registered.

The body would be handed over to his family, he said.
