Lead down by 0.3% on global cues

Subdued demand at domestic spot markets from battery-makers, put pressure on lead futures

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices eased by 0.32% to Rs 125.30 per kg in futures trade today in tandem with a weakening trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in January next year eased by 40 paise, or 0.32%, to Rs 125.30 per kg in a business turnover of 10 lots.

The metal for delivery this month also fell by 35 paise, or 0.28%, to Rs 124.35 per kg with a business volume of 841 lots.

Marketmen said a weak trend in base metals pack at the LME as China factory data falls to seven-month low and subdued demand at domestic spot markets from battery-makers, put pressure on lead futures here.
