Lead down by 0.3% on subdued spot demand

Speculators trimmed positions on weakness in base metals overseas and subdued domestic spot demand

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices eased by 0.32% to Rs 108 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions on weakness in base metals overseas and subdued domestic spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in April fell by 35 paise, or 0.32%, to Rs 108 per kg in a business turnover of 10 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in March shed 25 paise, or 0.23%, to Rs 107.40 per kg in 256 lots.

Marketmen said the fall in lead futures was due to a subdued demand in domestic markets and a weakening trend in base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange.
