Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices were down by 0.51 per cent to Rs 108.15 per kg in futures trade today amid subdued spot demand at the domestic market and weak global cues.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the December contracts of lead fell by 55 paise, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 108.15 per kg in a business turnover of 151 lots.

The November contract of the metal eased by 50 paise, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 107.55 per kg in 353 lots.

Marketmen said the fall in lead futures was due to a muted demand from battery-makers in the domestic markets and a weakening trend in base metals overseas.
