Press Trust of India New Delhi

Lead prices moved up by 0.15 per cent to Rs 167.55 per kg in futures trade today as speculators built up fresh positions following uptick in demand at the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June was trading higher by 25 paise, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 167.55 per kg in business turnover of 567 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders, driven by upsurge in demand from battery-makers in the physical market mainly influenced lead prices at futures trade.
