To build public opinion against the "anti-people" policies of the BJP-led Centre and the AIADMK Government for allegedly not addressing basic issues in several sectors, inlcuding industries, the CPI (M) and the CPI will together hold mass contact programmes and a "hunger strike", the Left parties announced here today.
"From August 25 to 31, we will hold mass contact programmes. We will go from door to door in urban and rural areas," G Ramakrishnan and D Pandian, State Secretaries of the CPI(M) and the CPI respectively, told reporters.
On September 1, hunger strike will be held in all the District headquarters.
