Leopard mowed down

A leopard was killed while

crossing the Nashik-Aurangabad highway near Chandori village, forest officials said today.

The big cat was knocked down by an unknown vehicle last night, they said.

According to officials, leopards strayed from their sugarcane field enclosures to beat the heat.
