Liam Payne dating former school pal

One Direction star Liam Payne has fallen for a former classmate, according to reports.

The British pop star is reportedly dating Sophia Smith, who attended St Peter's Collegiate School with him in his native Wolverhampton, England, reported Contactmusic.

Smith reportedly joined Payne's family on a trip to see the star in LA.

"Liam has really fallen for her. It's getting very serious, very fast," a source said.

The 19-year-old has been single since splitting from girlfriend Danielle Peazer in May.
