A court here today convicted three persons for raping a Dalit girl and awarded them rigorous life imprisonment.
Additional District and Sessions Judge-1 Ashok Kumar Srivastava also slapped a penalty of Rs 15,000 on each of the convicts.
They will remain in jail till death, the judge ordered.

The three -- autorickshaw driver Shamim alias Chhotu and his friends Birendra Yadav and Ram Kumar Sah had raped the girl at an isolated place near a bus stand in Vishwavidyalaya police station area in the night of May 19, 2015 after persuading her to travel in their vehicle on way to the railway station.
The three were arrested by Darbhanga police soon after they committed the crime.
