On-demand home service provider Lifeasy today said it plans to hire 250 employees in this financial year as it seeks to expand its operations.

The company, in a statement, said a major part of the hiring will be for service technicians, operational and corporate staff.

"On-demand home service sector is witnessing unprecedented growth and we expect the business to grow for Lifeasy at pace of about 5X in 2018 and will be adding 250 additional team members to support our business growth," Lifeasy co-founder Jeet Narayan Singh said.

Singh added that the company is diversifying its service portfolio as well as increasing the density of technical manpower in service locations.

Lifeasy commenced operations in April 2016 with a team of five members and has since then expanded to over 150 people, delivering more than 4,000 orders every month.

Headquartered in Noida, the company operates in Delhi-NCR and provides over 200 services across about 18 categories, including areas like plumbing, IT repairs, AC service and home appliances repair work.
