Mentha oil down by 0.3% on low demand

Mentha oil prices eased by 0.26% to Rs 913.20 per kg in futures trading today as participants cut down their bets amid tepid demand from consuming industries at the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery this month declined by Rs 2.40, or 0.26% to Rs 913.20 per kg in a business turnover of 304 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in March contracts shed Rs 1.70, or 0.18% to Rs 923 per kg in 51 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders amid subdued demand from consuming industries at the spot market against adequate stocks on higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
