Press Trust of India New Delhi
Residents of Shadipur, Khampur and Ranjit Nagar in central-west Delhi today took out a peace march against mob lynchings and terror attacks.

More than 200 residents took part in the demonstration, which was the initiative of local citizens and neither organised nor backed by any political party or organisation, said a statement issued by those who took out the demonstration.

Shadipur-Khampur-Ranjit Nagar is a diverse neighbourhood, populated by Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians.

Within each of these, also, there are people from different socio-economic and caste backgrounds, as well as from different parts of the country.

In a word, Shadipur is a little bit of a mini-India, the statement said.
