Madhya Pradesh Janata Dal (Secular) merges with Congress

Janata Dal (Secular) merged with the Congress in Madhya Pradesh today, at a programme in Tyonthar in Rewa district of the state.

The merger took place after efforts made by the Leader of the Opposition in the MP Assembly Ajay Singh, a Congress release said.

The announcement was made by Janata Dal (Secular) president Ramayan Pratap Singh at a programme in Tyonthar.

Ajay was keen on the merger, as it would lead to strengthening of the Congress in Rewa division.
