Magisterial inquiry into suicide of cop

District authorities have ordered a magisterial inquiry into the suicide of a police official.

District magistrate D K Singh said additional district magistrate Manoj Kumar will conduct inquiry into the incident.

The police official Brijender Singh had committed suicide hanging himself from a tree and left a note in which he alleged he was harassed by subdivisional magistrate Ramotar Gupta in whose court he was posted.

Police registered a case against the SDM for abetment of suicide.
