Maharashtra cabinet today approved the cost escalation of Rs 622.84 crores in 147 irrigation projects.
Out of these projects, 50 are located in Vidarbha, 37 are in Marathwada and 60 in rest of the state.
Budgetary provisions could not be made in 2012-13 since scrutiny of administrative approvals for revised costs was on.
