Maha RPI (A) leader joins Congress

The Maharashtra secretary of the RPI (A), Madhu Mohite, Tuesday joined the Congress along with his supporters.

According to a statement, Mohite joined the party at its state headquarter here in the presence of Maharashtra Congress chief Ashok Chavan, Congress MP Hussain Dalwai and former Rajya Sabha member Bhalchandra Mungekar.

The Republican Party of India (A) is led by Union minister Ramdas Athawale and is a constituent of the ruling NDA.
