Mahilpur FC, Punjab moved to the final of the fourth All India Football Tournament for Bihar Cup by defeating Nagpur FC by a solitary second-half goal in the semi-final at Moinul Haq stadium here today.
The Punjab team started on an attacking note moving the ball with quick, short passes. The players made a series of moves from the right flank, but could not penetrate the rival defence.
As the first half progressed, both teams failed to live up to the expectations of the crowd that had gathered to watch the match. They stuck to safe gameplans and concentrated in the midfield due to the blazing sun.

After a goal less first half, Mahilpur FC held ball in better possession and took lead in the 76th minute through Mandeep Singh, who turned a pass from Kulwant Singh into goal.
In the 80th minute of the game, Nagpur FC player David Etim was shown the red card by referee Sushant Bhiwgade for misbehaving with opponent players and referee.
Mahilpur FC will now meet Army XI, Kolkata in the final tomorrow.
