Mahindra Ins ties-up with Citrus Pay to provide accident cover

Mahindra Brokers (MIBL) has tied-up with payments gateway firm Citrus Pay to provide a short-term automatic personal accident cover via mobile wallet.

The company will offer Citrus Pay customers an automatic personal accident cover for a month against specified payment transaction made through mobile wallet.

"To qualify for a personal accident cover, designed for Citrus Pay customers, all that the customers need to do is spend a specified amount from their mobile wallet. Once the customer reaches the amount, they can simply avail the policy by sharing nominee details through an SMS or email," MIBL said in a release.

Eli partners Nasscom to promote skill development

* Eli India, a part of diversified information and financial services group Eli Global, has partnered with Nasscom to promote skill development in the country.

The tie-up between Nasscom and Eli is calculated to make individuals more productive and proficient by imparting formal training, which will help in presenting India as a source of quality manpower, a company release said.

"Nasscom is partnering with various colleges to provide courses; candidates who enroll will receive an additional skill certificate with their college degree, providing them an edge over others. In other words, candidates will get a better chance of employment," Eli India Country Head and President Ajay Gupta said.

JK Agri Genetics posts Rs 7.56 cr loss in July-Sep quarter * JK Agri Genetics today reported a net loss of Rs 7.56 crore for the quarter ended September.

Its net loss stood at Rs 10.24 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Total income from operations rose to Rs 13.95 crore for the second quarter of this fiscal from Rs 7.78 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

"The company's business is of seasonal nature, therefore, results of the current quarter are not representative of the full year's performance," it said.

Revv raises $9 mn funding from Edelweiss Private Equity,others

* Shared mobility solutions platform Revv has raised USD 9 million in equity and debt from Edelweiss Private Equity and others.

The series A equity funding led by Edelweiss Private Equity and debt funding from financing and leasing partners like Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services and LeasePlan India, it said in a statement.

The fresh capital will be used towards expanding into new cities, launching new products, and building proprietary technology to enhance customer experience, it added.

The startup already counts the likes of Gautam Kumra (recently elected India MD of McKinsey & Company), Rajat Dhawan (Mentor to McKinsey's automotive practice) and Ananth Narayanan (Myntra CEO) as its angel investors.

Autodesk launches e-store in India

* Software major Autodesk has set up an online store for users in India that will allow design professionals to buy subscription and access design tools on a pay-per-use model.

The site will offer Autodesk software, including AutoCAD and Maya, on easy-to-buy subscription options directly from the site, Autodesk said in a statement.

This e-store is first-of-its kind for Autodesk in India and will enable Indian businesses, design and, engineering professionals to buy Autodesk software online on monthly subscription on a pay-per-use model, it added.

* Bhubaneswar: Steel maker Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) has been honoured with the prestigious Odisha INC Award for its innovative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in the state.
