A 40-year-old maid was today found murdered at a retired IAS officer's residence here, police said.
Sadhna, who hailed from West Bengal, was found dead lying in a pool of blood in the servant room of the residence of former bureaucrat Rajendra Singh in Mahaveer Nagar, they said.
The woman's husband and two children stay in West Bengal.
It was Singh who informed the police of the murder, which probably took place in the wee hours.
The body was sent to SMS hospital for postmortem, while forensic experts reached the spot, they said.
"It seems to be a blind murder. Investigations by senior officials are on," ACP Ashok K Chouhan said.
