Man and his niece found hanging in Bahraich

A man and his niece were found hanging from a tree in Gaudhi village in the district, police said today.

The bodies of Sakatram (28) and Neelam (22) were found under Fakharpur police station area here yesterday.

Neelam, who married two years back, was to leave for her in-law's place in four days, a police officer said.

Investigations are on to ascertain whether it is a case of suicide or honour killing, he said, adding the bodies have been sent for post mortem examination.
