A man was arrested today for allegedly transporting 18 bovine animals illegally in Rajsamand district of Rajasthan, police said.
Some locals spotted the truck carrying the cattle while it was stranded at Piplu-Udaipur road after it developed some glitch, they said, adding the locals informed the police.
"One of the accused Lala Luhar has been arrested under the bovine animal act, while the other one managed to escape," police said.
The animals have been sent to a cow shelter, they said.
