Man arrested for making phone calls posing as PA to Vice-Prez

A 20-year-old man was today arrested on charges of making phone calls to public representatives and public servants in Telangana posing as PA to Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, police said.

P Naveen alias Arjun Rao from Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh was arrested based on a complaint filed by BJP MLA G Kishan Reddy, a police release said.

In his complaint, Reddy, theparty floor Leader in Telangana Legislative Assembly, said the man had made phone calls to him and others after introducing himself as Arjun Rao, PA to Vice President and sought official favours.

However, on inquiry it was found that no such person was working in the vice-president's office, he said in the complaint.

 

The man was arrested and booked under various IPC sections, the release added.
