Man arrested for smuggling bovines

A man has been arrested for allegedly smuggling bovines and 21 cattle were rescued from his possession in Ramban district, police said today.

The accused is identified as Mohammad Ishaq, police said.

He was intercepted at Jallato Gali in Ramban district when he on his way to Kashmir Valley along with the animals yesterday, they said.

A case has been registered against him, police said, adding, investigation is underway.
