Man arrested for sodomising minor boy

A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly sodomising a minor boy in Ulhasnagar township of the district, police said today.

"The accused, identified as Aslam Yunus Khan, threatened the 16-year-old boy, took him to an isolated place at Boat Club, Hira Ghat on Saturday and sodomised him," Inspector A V Saigaonkar of Central police station said.

The boy's uncle lodged a complaint with the police, following which the accused was arrested yesterday, he said.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, he said, adding investigation is on.
