Man arrested with one kg heroin

An alleged drug peddler was arrested today with one kilogramme narcotics in Jewel Chowk area here.

On a tip-off, police set up a check point near MAM Stadium in Jewel Chowk area of the city and intercepted one pedestrian Hoshiar Singh of Doda district, a police officer said.

During his search, one kg heroin was recovered from him, he said adding a case has been registered.
