Man beats uncle to death over family dispute

A man in an inebriated state beat his uncle to death over some dispute in Barmer district of Rajasthan, the police said today.

Dauram Meghwal (35) had a dispute with his uncle Purkharam Meghwal (60) last night. The accused, who was in an inebriated condition, beat up his uncle with a stick, leading to his death, SHO of Baytu police station Omprakash said.

The body has been handed over to the family members after post-mortem. A case of murder has been registered against the accused and further investigation into the matter is underway, the police officer said.
