Man booked for attempt to rape minor girl

A 29-year-old man has been booked for attempting to rape a minor girl in Bharalumukh area here this evening, police sources said

Shraban Kumar entered his neighbour's house near railway gate number 8 and attempted to rape the seven-year-old girl, the sources said.

Hearing the girl's cries, neighbours entered the house and caught Shraban and handed him over to police.

An FIR has been filed by the girl's father in Bharalumukh police station.
