Man dies after fire engulfs room

The victim Surender Kumar, who worked as a property dealer, was staying with his elder brother's family, police said.

The fire broke out this morning and soon engulfed his room, they said, adding that it took nearly half-an-hour for the fire fighters to douse the flames.

Cause of the fire is yet to be known and fire officials are investigating the accident, DSP Sumit Kumar said.
