A 60-year-old man died after he jumped into the sea from the Pamban bridge near here today, police said.
The man was rescued in an unconscious state by fishermen who were fishing in the area and rushed to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, police said.
The reason for the man's action was not known, police said.
