A middle-aged man was today arrested for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in Dabeerpura area here, police said.
Hamidullah K, a football coach providing training to local youths, allegedly raped the girl two days ago at his house, Dabeerpura Police Station Inspector M Mattaiah said.
The girl's mother lodged a complaint in this regard and also accused Hamidullah of misbehaving with the girl a fortnight ago, the police officer said.
Following the complaint, a case was booked under relevant sections of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and he was arrested.
