A Kolkata-bound passenger was today apprehended at the Delhi airport for allegedly carrying a live bullet in his baggage, officials said.
A CISF officer, deputed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) to scan the baggage of commuters, detected a bullet-like object on the x-ray monitor around 1.10 AM, they said.
The live bullet of .8mm calibre was recovered from the bag that belonged to the passenger identified as Ankush Kumar, officials said.

Carrying arms and ammunition is banned inside the airport and aircraft.
"Kumar was handed over to the police as he did not have valid documents for possessing ammunition," they said.
